Design Process
Design
The PWS is a parabolic trough with a water-filled glass tube running along its focus.
The tube would be coated inside with semiconductor materials and the trough would be made of a thin, flexible, reflective material.
The glass would be about 0.5 cm thick.
Sunlight would supply the energy needed to catalyze the splitting of water by reflecting off the inside surface of the trough.
